American vocalist Monique B Thomas, now based in France, brings an uplifting celebration of gospel, spirituals and New Orleans jazz to The Henley Jazz Festival. A rare opportunity to hear Monique perform in the UK, this joyful Sunday concert features clarinetist Adrian Cox as a special guest. Local youth choir Henley Voices will also join Monique for a few songs, bringing a wonderful community spirit to the occasion. Her powerful, expressive voice will be supported by a superb line-up: Enrico Tomasso on trumpet, Harry Evans on bass, Honey Boulton on guitar and Sebastiaan de Krom on drums. From heartfelt spirituals to rousing gospel favourites, Down by the Riverside promises music filled with warmth, hope and joy.

The brand new Henley Jazz festival takes place from 25th to 27th Sept. Set in multiple venues around the town the festival is proud to present no less than 12 concerts each featuring world class music and musicians. From dance oriented concerts featuring both Latin ensembles and Big Bands to virtuoso instrumentalists and vocalists and, even a special Sunday morning concert of Gospel and Spirituals, there is something for every musical palate!
