Promote Your Gig

Do you want to promote your gig to a much wider jazz audience? A listing in our Jazz Gig Calendar will give your gig some exposure, but if you really want to build good audience numbers, then let us help you to promote it – at a realistic and very reasonable cost – via our mailing list and related social media feeds.

Our mailing list currently comprises 860+ jazz and music lovers in the Reading and Thames valley area. Each e-shot we send out is automatically posted to our Twitter feed and Facebook page, taking our promotional reach to reach to well over 1,800 jazz / music lovers in the Thames Valley area.

Each promotion takes the form of a e-shot to the mailing list, designed by us but using text and photos provided by you, like the following recent example: Equinox at the Four Horseshoes.

The price of a one-off e-shot, which includes a free repeat, is negotiable. You’ll need to provide some words describing the gig and the line-up, contact details, venue information and a photo or two – we’ll do the rest. The e-shot would ideally be sent out about a month before the gig, with the free repeat timed to go out about a week before.

“Run by jazz fans for jazz fans, Jazz In Reading is a great service offering gig and event promotion. I use it to advertise my monthly Jazz Singers’ Night, amongst other gigs, and it really does help spread the word to jazz lovers around the county.” Fleur Stevenson

“We found Jazz in Reading to be a personable and efficient service that allowed us to directly reach an audience who are passionate about jazz, which was key to our 1920s era production.” – Tom Elliott, The Watermill Theatre
