What a great way to spend a summer’s evening! Enjoy a unique experience listening to world-class jazz in beautiful Chilterns surroundings while helping raise money for a really worthwhile charity.
Jazz in Reading is delighted to support and promote this event, which brings together three top-rated bands:
The Impossible Gentlemen | Jason Rebello Quartet | Art Themen’s New Directions Quintet
All profit from this event will be donated to the Kamuli Friends charity which supports the Kamuli Mission Hospital in rural Uganda. To put the Hospital into context and why it is being supported: Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has a catchment of 750,000 people with around 900 nurses, 600 doctors, 40 surgeries and a fleet of ambulances. Kamuli has a catchment of 750,000 people but only 9 nurses and 3 doctors. Henley GP Dr Philip Unwin and other doctors use their holidays to work at the hospital providing vital medical care and facilities for the hospital. Every penny donated goes directly to the hospital.
