Sheena Caprice is an inspiring jazz vocalist, who began singing at the age of four. Her passion for Jazz was heavily influenced by greats such as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter and Nina Simone. Her performances also reflect more contemporary artists such as Rachelle Ferrell and Dianne Reeves. Sheena has performed at various venues, including Sky Lounge at Castle View Windsor.

This Dickensian Jazz Suite presents characters and scenes from Dickens’ favourite novel ‘David Copperfield’. After each sketch, presented with Alan Barnes’ charismatic and engaging humour, eight virtuoso musicians will bring the characters and scenes vividly to life. One of the UK’s greatest jazz musicians, Alan’s two previous jazz suites played to packed houses in the EFG London Jazz Festival.

The Jazz Samba quintet takes its name and inspiration from Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd’s 1962 ground-breaking and chart-topping bossa nova album. Led by tenor saxophonist Mark Crooks and award-winning guitarist Nigel Price, this is a joyful celebration of the blending of Brazilian rhythms, jazz sensibility and the majestic compositions of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Donato and Sergio Mendes.
OK – not totally jazz, but….
… Gershwin’s An American in Paris is definitely “jazz-influenced” and Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story has plenty of jazz, Latin and blues elements.
