Jazz and Blues at Magoos is a project by Annie Parker, in conjunction with Magoos, to bring vibrant, quality, live music to Henley. These are pop-up gigs rather than a regular slot; they occur as and when! The Potts and Parker Little Big Band played the first gig in June, went down a storm and left the audience begging for more! Rob Fowler is one of British jazz’s finest tenor-saxophonists, celebrated for his warm, broad tone and swinging style, securely rooted in the classic traditions of Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. His career includes performing and recording Rufus Wainwright, Bryan Ferry, Humphrey Lyttelton, the BBC Big Band and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra. Supported by one of the UK’s most versatile and inventive pianists Robin Aspland, whose career includes six years as Musical Director for Van Morrison, and Marianne Windham on bass.

Jazz vocalist & songwriter Sarah Jane Eveleigh was born and raised in Manchester before relocating to the south of England to study a diploma in performing arts. Drawing from a wealth of professional and personal experience, she is a passionate and gifted storyteller, widely respected for her interpretations and delivery of American Songbook standards, who brings a level of style, accuracy and class to her performances. Working alongside a host of talented musicians she continues to build a strong reputation as one of the most sought after vocalists on the circuit.

After four years at Berklee College of Music, Greg Abate spent two years playing lead alto for the Ray Charles Orchestra and then occupying the tenor sax chair with the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra. Andy Sheppard is one of the world’s leading saxophonists, playing and writing for settings from solo to chamber orchestra including recording an internationally acclaimed trilogy of albums in a trio with Carla Bley and Steve Swallow. Andy’s latest Trio consists of Italian jazz icon Rita Marcotulli on piano and acclaimed French bassist Michel Benita. Saltcatchers, the trio’s latest album, was released in September 2026 and described by jazz reviewers as full of captivating melodic beauty, delicate harmony and thoughtful interplay.

Alto saxophonist Stacey Dawson has played regularly throughout Europe and at some of London’s leading jazz clubs, including the 606 club, the 100 club and Ealing and Brecon Jazz festivals. He has been asked to perform for Tony Blair, Prince Charles at Highgrove and Barack Obama at the American Embassy. He has also performed for Maserati and Aston Martin. Currently he is the resident saxophonist at the Dorchester Hotel and regularly performs at the Savoy and Claridge’s hotel.

Sheena Caprice is an inspiring jazz vocalist, who began singing at the age of four.
