• Fringe Festival Jazz. We are again putting on a great gig at the Reading Fringe Festival on 23 July: Stuart Henderson’s Remix Jazz Orchestra playing ‘The Evolution of the Big Band – from the Birth of Jazz’. Details and tickets

• A must-watch ‘Jazz 625 revival’ recorded at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on Fri 3 May, now available on BBC iplayer4. Musicians featured include Robert Mitchell (appearing at the the Progress on 17 May) and others you will have seen (or missed) who have been our guests, such as Jean Toussaint.
